Processing of sample molecules of liquids involves making the droplets (1) stand or suspend from lyophilic or lyophobic anchors (4,3) on a flat support (2). An Independent claim is also included for support with lyophilic anchors in a lyophobic environment. The lyophilic anchors are coated with layers which reversibly or non-reversibly bind sample molecules and immobilize them temporarily.
