The measuring device has a support for a sample (3) such that the sample rests with both measuring surfaces on the support. The four measuring sensors are arranged such that the sample contacts all four measuring sensors with their surface lying to each other and the sample lies in the support. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining an angle between two successive at current, flat surfaces of a sample or deviation of this angle from a desired angle and for determining of a refractive index of a prism surfaces provided with glass sample in a beam deflection on the prism surfaces.
