The check valve(10) has a connecting hose between the first and second chamber of the airbag and in which is accommodated a fabric inlay(22). The fabric inlay divides the connecting hose into a flow passage(30) between the first and second chamber, and a pressure chamber(32) in communication with the second chamber in such a way that with a lower internal pressure in the second chamber compared with that in the first the inlay opens the flow passage and closes it when the pressure in the second chamber is greater than that in the first. An Independent claim is included for an airbag equipped with a proposed check valve.
