The detector has a gas-electron multiplier and a drift chamber, in which at least one detector structure (20) is arranged for detecting electrons. The detector structure is formed by an essentially two-dimensional arrangement of anode pads (21) connected to amplifier or evaluation circuits (30) for evaluating the output signals produced by the incident electrons.
