The two writer pens (S1,S2) carrying the two different colors adjoin one another and dip at the rear into the fluids or reach into a color-permeated sponge. The pens are separated by an impermeable dividing wall (T) and the tip or endface (St1) of the one pen (S1) reaches beyond the other (S2). In a variant, the endface of pen (Sw1) is at an angle to the endface (Sw2) of pen (S2) to allow one or other endface to highlight the paper etc independent of the other pen. At fluid level, the dividing wall (T) continues as a filter (F), itself forming a flush partition between the two fluids (L1,L2). The basic fluid can pass through one type of filter in both directions, notably the basic fluid particles. It is thus possible to use a filter which permits particle transfer in one direction only.
