A waste collector consisting of flat flexible material with a fold, which is positioned with the fold facing the waste, and its top surface (2) held down. The waste is collected by pushing/drawing the fold under the waste. The lower material surface (3) is extended and drawn over the ground to clean it by e.g. a rod (5) with grip moving the fold from inside. The material rolls over the element and is turned, and material and waste carried on it are removed into a waste container.
