Biochip, especially for investigating ion channels, has a substrate with opening(s) to receive a cell membrane with ion channel(s). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) measuring probes comprising a biochip and a small glass tube on the side of the substrate opposite the side to which the membrane is applied, so that an electrode can be introduced through the opening away from the substrate; and (2) process for production of the biochip.
