PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving packet data and associated control information for an MBMS(Multimedia Broadcasting/Multicast Service) is provided so that a UE(User Equipment) can receive both MBMS data and associated control information, without the necessity of receiving two or more physical channels in order to receive them. CONSTITUTION: The L1/L2 of a UTRAN transmit specific MBMS data to a UE through a specific MTCH(MBMS Traffic Channel)(S31). In case that it is necessary to transmit MBMS-associated control information to the UE, the RRC layer of the UTRAN transfers the MBMS-associated control information to the UTRAN L1/L2 through the MTCH(S32). The UTRAN L1/L2 transfer the MBMS-associated control information to the L1/L2 of the UE(S33). The UE L1/L2 transfer the received MBMS-associated control information to the RRC layer of the UE(S34). If the transmission of the MBMS-associated control information is completed, the UTRAN L1/L2 transmit the MBMS data through the MTCH. The UE L1/L2 receives the MBMS data through the MTCH.
