The phase detector has series diodes (V1,V2), receiving a reference signal (U1) via a transformer (UT), the input signal (U2) coupled to the diodes via an input network (R4,C3,C4), with an output signal (U3) provided, representing the relative phase between the input signal and the reference signal. Tuned capacitors (C1,C2) and/or inductances (L1,L2) are inserted in the lines between the transformer and the diodes, for ensuring symmetry of the voltages supplied to the latter.
