摘要
A nucleic acid sequence (I) obtained from an endothelial cell comprising any of 59 sequences (defined and given in the specification), its allelic variant, or complement, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) bacterial or phage artificial chromosomes and cosmid clones containing functional genes (Ia), and their chromosomal location, corresponding to (I), for use as gene transfer vehicles; (2) fragments (II) of (I), sufficiently long to hybridize to (I); (3) an expression cassette (EC) containing (I) or (II) plus a control or regulatory sequence; (4) a DNA fragment containing a gene (III); (5) host cells containing (I) or (II) as heterologous components in the genome; (6) production of polypeptides (IV), or their fragments, by growing cells of (5); (7) antibodies (Ab) directed against (IV) or its fragments; (8) polypeptide sequences (IVa) expressed from (I), and polypeptides with - 80, preferably 90% homology with (IVa); (9) a pharmaceutical composition containing (IV); and (10) genomic genes, or their promoters, enhancers, silencers, exon and intron sequences, and splice variants produced from (I).
