The fan (10) has a first direct current motor (M1), which is supplied from a direct current generator of the vehicle. The second motor has a higher efficiency at its nominal power output then the first motor has at this power output. Preferably, the second nominal power output is less than the first. A second direct current motor (M2) is supplied from the vehicle battery. Preferably, the motors are arranged on a common drive shaft (12) of the fan. The motors may be separate, or they may be formed as separate coils on a single motor. An Independent claim is included for a vehicle incorporating the electrical device.
