The filter device has a regenerating air filter (11) divided into at least two filter segments (111, 112), to adsorb substances in the air flow. There is an electric heater (22, 23) integrated into each filter segment to heat the segment in desorption mode. These heaters also heat the filter segments in adsorption mode. The temperature in each segment is kept below the minimum temperature for desorption.
