Production of an epoxide by reaction of an olefin in a peroxide solution in the presence of a titanium silicate catalyst is characterized by the regeneration of used catalyst that is continuously removed and at least a portion of the regenerated catalyst is continuously refed to the reactor. A process for the production of an epoxide by reaction of an olefin in a peroxide solution in the presence of a titanium silicate catalyst is characterized by continuous feeding of fresh or regenerated catalyst, with a peroxide containing or forming liquid stream and olefinwith continuous removal of used catalyst in a liquid stream with a portion of the epoxide and a gas stream comprising unreacted olefin and a portion of the epoxide, whereby the used catalyst that is removed undergoes a regeneration step and at least a portion of the regenerated catalyst is continuously re-fed to the reactor.
