Fuel cell arrangement (10) consists of several parallel fuel cells (12) with cooling gaps (14) extending between neighboring cells and between an inlet (18) and an outlet (20). Coolant (16) is able to flow through the gaps. The specific surface, i.e. the surface proportion of the cooling surfaces releasing heat to the coolant, increases from the inlet to the outlet.
