The monitoring system is designed so that monitoring facilities (10,11) are provided, which based on a dynamic model, a forecast of the actual angle (DELTA V) is carried out, from the knowledge of the desired angle (DELTA M + DELTA R) and from the travel dynamic variables. The forecast actual value is compared with the sensor determined actual value (15). A fault signal (17) is then derived from the comparison result, using a fault identification algorithm.
