The valve has a magnet housing containing a coil, a magnet core and an armature interacting with the coil and a valve connection element connected to the housing and containing a valve element for controling a pressure medium flow. The armature is arranged in a chamber with no pressure medium. An arrangement for damping valve element movement arranged near the valve connection element has a sleeve closely enclosing the element near a protrusion. The valve has a magnet housing (11) containing a coil (12), a magnet core (14) and a magnet armature (20) interacting with the coil and a valve connection element (30) connected to the housing and containing a valve element (40) for controling the flow of a pressure medium, whereby the armature is arranged in a chamber with no pressure medium. An arrangement for damping movements of the valve element arranged near the valve connection element has a sleeve (45) closely enclosing the element near a protrusion (41).
