The inductive measuring sensor has a displaced measuring head (40) with at least one measuring loop (30) with a geometric shape which is altered in dependence on the displacement of the measuring head and a reference loop (20) with a constant geometric shape. At least one inductive element (42,43) within the measuring head forms part of an externally stimulated oscillation circuit, or is coupled to the output of a signal generator, the quotient of the induced voltages obtained in the measuring loop and the reference loop provided as the measuring signal. An Independent claim for a calibration method for an inductive measuring sensor is also included.
