The system has a housing, a first heat exchanger, at least a second heat exchanger passing a flow of engine coolant and several walls dividing the system into regions on the air flow side after the first heat exchanger. Separately temperature-controlled air can be fed into associated interior zones. A second heat exchanger is provided per region. The flow of engine coolant through each of the second heat exchangers is regulated separately. The system has a housing (12), a first heat exchanger (evaporator) for producing cold air, at least a second heat exchanger passing a flow of a heat carrying medium (engine coolant) for producing hot air and several dividing walls (26,28,30) dividing the system into several regions (B1-B4) on the air flow side after the first heat exchanger, whereby separately temperature-controlled air can be fed into associated interior zones. A second heat exchanger (22.1-22.4) is provided per region and the flow of heat-carrying medium through each of the second heat exchangers is regulated separately.
