The exchanger (1) has first collecting pipe (2) and second collecting pipe (3) spaced apart and arranged in parallel alignment with each other. Flow paths are arranged parallel to one another as the fluid connection between the pipes are formed. A dividing unit is adapted for dividing internal volume of the collecting pipes into independent regions. The dividing unit divides internal volume of the collector pipes that are shiftable in independent regions, so that the refrigerant is passed through a number of flutes depending on flow direction and operation mode.
