Device comprises a wheel support surface with a drive mechanism that sets the axle mass in perpendicular resonant vibration. The amplitude of the resonance vibrations is measured and displayed. A spring or elastic member is placed between the wheel support and its drive mechanism with the spring rigidity matched to the wheel loading of the vehicle under test.
