Ion filling regulation method for HF quadrupole ion trap mass spectrometer calculates actual filling level for comparison with required filling level for regulation of ion filling

The ion filling regulation method determines the actual value of the filling level from the sum charge inertia of the stored ions during the recording of the mass spectrum, defined as the sum of the products of the ion currents and the square roots of the corresponding specific masses, in turn defined by the quotient of the mass and the ion elementary charge. The actual value of the filling level is compared with a required value for regulation of the ion filling of the ion trap.
