Two jack units(10) which are selectively operated independently of each other are provided in the vehicle. A jack unit is fitted respectively on one of the centre side struts(b) of the vehicle which axially accommodates the threaded rod(11) and is mounted on threaded supports(12) which assist in bracing. The operating device has a kinetic power transmission which is driven by an electric motor with a unit reversing the direction of motion.
