The invention concerns a remotely controllable system for positioning on a patient an observation and/or intervention device comprising a mount (11) whereto said device is coupled according to a certain number of degrees of freedom, flexible coupling means (12-15) whereof each is arranged between the mount and a point (16-19) integral with the patient's support or the patient himself, remote-controlled means for modifying the length/tension of the coupling means, and means for remotely observing the behaviour of the device.
