The motorized lawn mower has a box (13), with blades (12) supported in the box for turning around a vertical axis constituting a centre of rotation (P1), the edges of the blades (12A) facing the direction of rotation, and the lifting flaps (12B) at the rear of each blade. Each of the flaps (12B) has a first part (12b) which extends to the rear of the rotation direction. There is a second curved part (12c) curved in the direction of rotation from the radial edges of the first part of the flaps.
