A burner (4) has combustible gas injectors (63), each one having a mouth (64). The mouths are distributed in groups (64a,64b,64c) which are controlled separately all together or individually by respective electrovalves (76a,76b,76c). Each of the groups have different gas flow rates, and the various groups can be activated jointly or separately. A detector (78) detects the flame level by ionization, this detector having a stem (79) and adapted to sense the flame level of various groups, which are actuated to achieve the required gas flow rate and heating level. Independent claims are also included for (a) the gas burner, and (b) the gas boiler.
