Transfer device comprises a locking chamber (7) that connects to shutters (V1, V2) of transport chamber (C1) and analysis chamber (C2), a controller (3) that regulates the atmosphere within the locking chamber, a first transfer mechanism (M1) to transfer an object (2) from the locking chamber to the analysis chamber and an additional transfer mechanism (M2) to transfer the object from the transport chamber and the locking chamber. An Independent claim is made for an analysis system for investigation of the behavior of a sample under controlled atmospheric conditions.
