The incoming and outgoing call management unit has pre-programmed units for transmitting a carrier signal to the management unit, this signal having an identification code of the terminal and/or the portable telephone, the management unit is pre-programmed to divert incoming calls to the portable telephone, automatically to the telephone communication terminal assembly and thus to the loudspeakers. The vehicle telephone system includes a portable telephone, a terminal for emission/reception of the radio telephone signal, a microphone unit and a loud speaker unit connected to this terminal. The terminal, the microphones and loudspeaker are all adapted to be integrated in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The system also includes a unit for managing the calls entering and exiting from the terminal or the portable telephone.
