The headband (1) comprises a fabric tube with lengthwise and transverse sewn or welded seams (2, 5, 6) forming compartments (3, 4) filled with polymer granules of high moisture absorbing capacity. The tube can be woven or knitted from cotton, polymer fibers or their mixture, with the partitions formed by stitching or, with the polymer fibers, by ultrasound, high-frequency or thermal welding.
