PURPOSE: To perform periodic variation of a cylinder the injection timing of which is adjusted to a proper value by injecting fuel in a ratio of one time at every engine rotation represented by a specified formula when a given amount of fuel is simultaneously injected to all cylinders, based on the operation state of an engine. ;CONSTITUTION: An electronic control unit 10 determines a fuel injection pulse based on the operation state of an engine and controls the opening time of a fuel injection valve 11. Thereby, a given amount of fuel is simultaneously injected in the intake manifolds 13 of cylinders 12. In this case, the operation states of the engine are respectively detected by means of the ignition unit 19 of an ignition plug 20, the throttle position sensor 22 of a throttle valve 21, and a water temperature sensor 24. In an electronic control unit 10, fuel is injected in a ratio of one time at every N rotation represented by an under- mentioned formula. Namely, the formula is N=m/n, wherein (n) is the number of ignition signals inputted during a time in which an engine makes one full rotation and an arbitrary number except a number being integral number times as large as m:n.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
