PURPOSE: To provide a gas analyzer using ultraviolet fluorometry, which can reduce indicating errors caused by drift due to background (stray light) or by the influence of temperature, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This gas analyzer using fluid modulation method includes an ultraviolet radiation source 3, a converging lens 2 by which ultraviolet radiation emitted from the ultraviolet radiation source 3 is converged into a cell, a fluorescence detector 6 provided in a position perpendicular to the optical axis A of the converging lens 2 to detect ultraviolet fluorescence emitted from a sample gas S by the application of ultraviolet radiation, and a holding member 1 for holding the ultraviolet radiation source 3, the converging lens 2 and the fluorescence detector 6. Further, the cell is a box-shaped microcell 5 adjustable to the ultraviolet light converging position F of the holding member 1 and placed in such a way as to be freely removable, and the holding member 1 is provided with a condensing lens 8 by which ultraviolet fluorescence emitted from the sample gas S introduced into the microcell 5 is converged into the fluorescence detector 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
