PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for storing grains at low temperature, enabling to lower the manufacturing cost of a storing device, reduce the running storage cost and store the grains at the low temperature. ;SOLUTION: In a silo in which an air duct 11 is formed under an air- permeable floor plate 10, a bypass-like duct D connected to an air blower (f) is stood between the air duct 11 and a ceiling space W in a communicating state. Grains to be dried are charged into the silo in a cold season, and the air blower (f) or an air blower (F) otherwisely disposed is operated to introduce the cold air of the season into the silo to cool the grains. After the temperature of air is raised in an early spring, the air blower (f) is operated to circulate the air in the silo 1 through the duct D. The grains are stored until a season when the temperature in the central part of the grain layer G in the silo 1 is approximately equalized to the temperatures at the four corners of the grain layer G heated with heat penetrated from the outer wall 12 of the silo 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
