PURPOSE: To enhance the magnetic characteristics by a method wherein a rare earth quenched magnet is manufactured by adding proper quantity of C, C+T, Cu+T, C+Cu+T (T: transition metal) to a R-Fe-B base permanent magnet. ;CONSTITUTION: The title rare earth quenched magnet is manufactured by rapidly quenching a mixed soluble material represented by the following formulas, i.e., RXFe100-X-Y-ZBYCZ or RX(Fe1-WCoW)100-X-Y-ZBYCZ or RXFe100-X-Y-Z-ABYCZTA (where R: one or exceeding two kinds of rare earth elements including y, T: one or exceeding two kinds out of Hf, Ti, Zr, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Mn) while 6≤X≤14, 2≤Y≤15, 0.1≤Z≤5, 0.1≤A≤5. Through these procedures, C, Cu, T are added to a rare earth, Fe, boron base permagnet magnet so that the title rare earth quenched magnet, bonded magnet having high magnetic characteristics and high corrosion resistance and the manufacturing method thereof may be developed even in the composition containing less added quantity of the rare earth element.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
