PURPOSE: To obtain an alloy foil capable of withstanding a high-temp. automobile exhaust and excellent in hot workability and toughness of the hot-rolled sheet by adding a misch metal contg. inexpensive Y and rare-earth elements to an Fe-Cr-Al alloy to secure its oxidation resistance and further adding Ti and Nb. ;CONSTITUTION: This alloy foil contains, by weight, 0.01-0.5% Ym (Ym consists of about 60% Y, about 35% of heavy rare-earth elements such as Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu and 5% of light rare-earth elements such as La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm and Eu), 4.5-6.5% Al, 13-25% Cr, 0.02% to (0.03+4.C%+24.N%/7) of Ti, (93.C%/12+93.N%/4) to 2.0% of Nb, ≤0.025% C, ≤0.02% N, where (C+N) ≤0.03%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
