PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite core for an inductor which is provided with a sufficient resin bank for resin between a drum core square base plate and a case core, and to improve mechanical strength as an inductor by stabilizing the fixing of the case core to the drum core, and increasing the infiltrating of the resin to a coil part.;SOLUTION: This ferrite core is constituted of a square drum core 1 whose square base plate 1b is provided with a magnetic core 1j, and whose other edge is provided with a square flange 1a to be fit into a case core 2 and the square case core 2 for covering the periphery of the drum core by leaving a gap interposed with the square flange 1a. In this case, the base plate is provided with a binding part for binding a coil wire leading part and a terminal part for connection with the outside part at one opposite side parts, and recessed groove parts 1c reaching from the outer peripheral to the drum magnetic core at the other opposite side parts. The recessed part 1c is provided with a tapered side face 1k having a difference in level which is made deeper at the outer peripheral side and shallower at the magnetic core side, or wider at the outer peripheral side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
