PURPOSE: To provide a desired light transmissivity distribution accurately by deciding the size or the interval of a light shielding part or a light transmitter which consists of plural small sections provided continuously or discontinuously, by using a specific expression. ;CONSTITUTION: When a light quantity correcting filter of a desired light transmissivity distribution is designed by converting the size or the interval of a light shielding part or a light transmitting part which consists of plural small sections provided continuously or discontinuously, and when the small sections are of the light transmitting part, the expression I is used, and when they are of the light shielding part, the expression II is used. In the expression, Px (X, Y) and Py(X, Y) indicate the interval between the X-axis and Y-axis of the neighboring light shielding part or the neighboring light transmitting part at a random positions X and Y. Dx (X, Y) and Dy (X, Y) indicate the lengths of the X-axis and the Y-axis in the light shielding part or the light transmitting part. Consequently, since the size or the interval of the douser or the light transmitting part can be controlled quantitatively and accurately, and the degree of freedom is high, the design and the manufacture can be carried out easily.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
