摘要

PURPOSE:To form a required phosphor screen without lowering tube characteristics and easily by irradiating light from a long light source on a panel, moving the panel in the longitudinal direction of the long light source. CONSTITUTION:A panel 1 is light-exposed, being moved in the direction of throughhole array of a shadow-mask 2 arranged through a bridge i.e. in the longitudinal direction of a long light source. This can sufficiently correct the constriction of stripes generated by the influence of the bridge of the shadow- mask 2. Besides, the allowable ranges of the moving distance and moving speed of the panel 1 is wide. Therefore, the adjustment for correcting the constriction becomes easy, resulting that the stripes almost without constriction can easily be formed. And since this method is that of concurrently light-exposing the whole face of the panel 1, the exposure time can be shortened. The variation of the positional relationship between the panel and a landing correcting lens is small and also the tube characteristics do not happen to be lowered.
