PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal master recorder capable of holding a metal board as a material flat on a turntable when an original optical disk is manufactured by a direct mastering method.;SOLUTION: A turntable 6 for loading and rotating a metal board 1 includes an annular flat porous part 16 provided oppositely to the backside of the signal recording area R of the metal board 1, and a decompression chamber 17 provided on the backside of the porous part 16 so as to be communicated with a vacuum generator source. Thus, by a vacuum suction force applied through the porous part 16, the rearside of the signal recording area R is forcibly absorbed on the turntable 6, and the distortion of the metal board 1 due to the forcible adsorption is prevented from occurring by free center and outer peripheral parts away from the signal recording area R. Accordingly, the occurrence of focussing deviation due to surface wobbling during recording is avoided, control is carried out to accurately condense a laser light in the signal recording area R, and a very small pattern is precisely recorded as a latent image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
