PURPOSE: To obtain a transparent cold cathod display panel allowing light projected to the rear side of the panel to be observed through a display surface and capable of displaying full colors and display method and device utilizing the display panel. ;CONSTITUTION: The transparent cold cathod display panel consists of an electron discharging part 6 and a light emitting part 7. An electron discharging unit in the discharging part 6 is constituted of an electron discharging electrode 9, an electron drawing electrode 11, an insulating layer 12, a drawing part 13 for the electrode 9, and a substrate 14. The light emitting part 7 is constituted of a transparent substrate 15, an electron catching electrode 16 to be a transparent conductive film and a phospher layer 17 and a transparent part capable of penetrating visible light is formed on the display panel so that light is transmitted from the rear side of the panel to its surface side. The display method is obtained by fixing the transparent cold cathod display panel allowing light projected to the rear side of the display panel to be observed through a display face to a transparent part of a building.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
