PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily retrieve the database of documents on equipment not only with an equipment name but also with its synonym/near-synonym and an abbreviated name, with respect to a construction management job supporting device for power equipment.;SOLUTION: An equipment dictionary file in which the equipment name, the synonym/near-synonym and the abbreviated name are put together as one record is prepared in each equipment, and when a target word to be retrieved exists in the equipment dictionary file, all words of the record including the target work are taken out as a key word. When equipment having a title including even one of the key words exists in each document of an equipment database, the equipment is displayed. If a similar event dictionary file is prepared about equipment events, the equipment can similarly retrieved even with a synonym, a near-synonym, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
