PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of mucous preparation for external use, good in feeling when applied, in spite of containing vitamin E's and even when vitamin E's are solubilized, and also to provide method for cleaning mucous membrane without leaving sticky feeling around the membrane cleaned. ;SOLUTION: This method is to clean a mucous membrane using a composition of mucous preparation for external use, containing 0.0005 wt.% or more but less than 0.005 wt.% of vitamin E's and 0.001 to 0.05 wt.% of a menthol and/or camphor, and kept in a resin container. The above composition leaves no sticky feeling around the mucous membrane to which it is applied for cleaning. It is excellent in feeling when applied, while showing the inherent effects of vitamin E's. Therefore, the obtained mucous preparation is excellent in usability, and helpts simply and efficiently clean the mucous membrane of eye, nose, throat or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
