PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the stress received by a base plate for covering the cover of a vertical vibration damper in a crankshaft vertical vibration reducing device having the vertical vibration damper mounted on the crankshaft front end part of a diesel engine.;SOLUTION: This crankshaft vertical vibration reducing device comprises the vertical vibration damper mounted between the crankshaft front end part and the base plate 4 to reduce the vertical vibration of the crankshaft 8 of the diesel engine. The cover 30 of the vertical vibration damper comprises a rib structure part 32 extended to a side plate and fixed to the base plate 4, and a frame-side fixing part 34 extended to the lower part of a frame 6 and fixed to the lower part of the frame 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
