PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize formation region of the dielectric convex portion for preventing a wrong discharge and discharge leakage, and prevent the break-off of the partition top portion that may accompany turning into high minuteness.;SOLUTION: The dielectric convex portion 5 is formed along a first direction D1 on a first portion P1 on top of a first mother electrode 3X, on a second portion P2 which protrudes by a first distance d1 toward a second direction D2 from the immediate top portion of a top end 3XE of the first mother electrode 3X, on a third portion P3 which is on the upper part of a second mother electrode 3Y, on a fourth portion P4, which protrudes from the immediate top portion of a top end 3YE of the second mother electrode 3Y by the second distance d2, and on the fifth portion P5 which is the connection portion of the both portions P1, P3 of an X-electrode and a Y- electrode and also the portion to be opposed to the top portion of each partition of the rear substrate, out of the discharge space surface of the dielectric, which covers a pair of discharge maintenance electrode composed of the X-electrode and Y-electrode of the front substrate.
