PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide newspaper paper which is used for offset printing, effectively enhances the bondability of vessels existing on the surface of the newspaper paper and causing voids (unprinted spots), and is free from the voids.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the newspaper paper, comprising subjecting a raw material containing waste paper pulp to a paper-making process, drying the made paper, and then calendering the dry paper, characterized in that the water drainage ratio (TOP/BOT) of the top roll of the first press to its bottom roll is ≤0.8 and that the groove width of the bottom roll surface is 0.6 to 1.0 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
