PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper for offset printing, excellent in printing aptitude even having a low density and capable of printing a highly fine image by the offset printing, and a paper for a newspaper for the offset printing.;SOLUTION: This paper for the offset printing is provided by containing ≥10 mass% waste paper pulp in the whole of the paper, and having ≥0.4 g/cm³ and ≤0.9 g/cm³ density, ≥10.0 μm and ≤25.0 μm 10 points mean roughness prescribed by JIS-B 0601 and measured by a needle-touching type surface roughness-measuring tool prescribed by JIS-B 0651 on the both of the surface and rear surface and ≥2.0 μm and ≤4.5 μm standard deviation of its three-dimensional surface roughness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
