PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boxing mechanism long edible roots and a device for boxing long edible roots under application of this mechanism in which the long edible roots can be stored in a container without being damaged by shock and the like.;SOLUTION: The mechanism is provided with a sliding slant shutter 10 capable of inclining and moving a feeding end and supported in such a way that it can be moved forward and rearward in a horizontal direction. Long edible roots mounted at the feeding end of the sliding slant shutter 10 are fed into a lower container under application of both inclining motion of the sliding slant shutter at the feeding end and retracting motion subsequent to the inclining motion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
