PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bacterium having an antagonistic action against a pathogenic bacterium, to provide a rice seedling disease control agent containing the bacterium, and to provide a method for controlling the disease with the agent.;SOLUTION: This Bacillus bacterium has a high antagonistic action against Pseudomonas avenae which is a pathogenic bacterium causing rice seedling bacterial brown stripe. The rice seedling disease-controlling agent contains the Bacillus bacterium as an active ingredient.
