PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply discriminating whether a coating has been imparted with a photo catalytic activity or not.;SOLUTION: This coating composition is characterized by containing (A) 20-250 pt.wt. inorganic powder having the photo catalytic activity, (B) 0.01-20 pt.wt. organic dyestuff and (c) 100 pt.wt. film-forming resin as indispensable components. The coating composition containing an anatase type titanium dioxide as the above powder having the photo catalytic activity, the colored coating obtained by applying the above coating composition, and the method for judging the photo catalytic activity of the colored coating by irradiating a light to the colored coating so as to change or decolorize a hue caused by the organic dyestuff in accordance with the photo catalytic activity of the colored coating, are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
