PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic having a high relative dielectric constant even in the case that its crystal particles are finely grained and an excellent thermal property of the relative dielectric constant, and a multilayer electronic component using the same, which has a less decreasing ratio of electrostatic capacity in case that a high voltage is impressed.;SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic contains a perovskite-type barium titanate crystal particles where a part of the A site is replaced by Ca and Sr (BCST-type crystal particles) as a major component. The BCST-type crystal particles have a core-shell structure, where Mg and rare-earth elements are dissolved more in the surfaces of the particles than their cores, and an average particle diameter of 0.2-0.6 μm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
