SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATION MANAGEMENT OF SHIP IN HARBOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation management system for ships in a harbor which predicts existent in-harbor waves and rolling and pitching of moored ships and contributes to the improvement of the safety of sea transportation and operation management in the harbor as a result.;SOLUTION: The operation management system for ships estimates the schedule of the arrival of a sailing ship in the harbor. Further, waves outside the harbor on the harbor arrival scheduled day are predicted and short-cycle waves and long-cycel waves in the harbor are estimated from the predicted waves outside the harbor. It is judged whether or not the ship can come alongside the pier from the short-cycle waves and long-cycle waves and rolling and pitching of the moored ship when the ship is moored are predicted to judge whether or not the ship can be moored.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
