REGISTER MARK SCANNING DEVICE FOR MULTI-COLOR PRINTING PRESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size scanning device, permitting the simultaneous scanning of several register marks by a scanning head.;SOLUTION: The scanning device (1) of register marks (21, 22, 31, 32) printed on a substrate (2) moving in a multi-color printing press is provided with at least one illuminator (3, 4) for illuminating the substrate (2), an illuminating area (5) wherein the register mark is crossing, an optical device (6), permitting to obtain the image of the register mark named as a plurality of parts (8) scanned continuously with some scanning speed on a photo-sensitive element (7), and a micro-processor (9) for controlling an electric pulse generated by the light of the illuminator and the picture element (17) of the photo-sensitive element (7). The illuminator illuminates the illuminating area (5) of the substrate (2) during the simultaneous or continuous scanning of at least two pieces of register marks by at least one modulation of strength and/or color.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
